Bush’s® Beans #TheMusicalFruitContest calls on bean fans to create their own short, sweet and memorable tune to celebrate beans.

CALLING ALL BEAN OBSESSED MUSICIANS

It’s a rhyme as old as time: 'Beans, beans the musical fruit, the more you eat...' you know the rest! Well now, Bush’s is searching for an updated or new song that’s short, sweet and, most of all, hones in on the many bean-efits of beans! By doing so, you have the chance to win a $10K cash prize & other bean-tastic things. So warm up those vocal chords and let us hear your Musical Fruit rendition. (But if you want to break out the guitar, piano, or any other instrument, be our guest.)

How to Enter

To enter, just share your beautiful bean song on Instagram or TikTok and use #TheMusicalFruitContest! We can’t wait to hear what you come up with.

Enter your new bean song via TikTok or Instagram Reels for the chance to win! One grand prize winner will receive a $10K cash prize, Bush’s® Beans for life (awarded as a $4,800 check), a trip to Nashville to visit the Grand Ole Opry, a VIP experience at the Opry, a tour of the Ryman Auditorium, your video featured as a commercial spot or intermission in the Opry show, and recording studio time! The top four (4) First Prize winners will each receive a $5,000 check.

THE MUSICAL FRUIT CONTEST Q&A

  • At Bush’s, we believe in beautiful bean goodness. Recognizing that many think about beans through the lens of the decades old “beans, beans the musical fruit” tune, it’s time to give the song a refresh through the lens of all the benefits that beans bring – plant-based protein, fiber and much more. We know beans are the ultimate pantry hero and bring joy to every meal. Not only are they good for people, but they’re good for the planet, too. The benefits of the humble bean should be spread far and wide in a new tune created by the biggest bean fans, which is why we’re engaging with creative minds nationwide to create a modern version of a memorable classic!

    Our Musical Fruit Contest is launching ahead of the 30th anniversary of our iconic “Roll That Beautiful Bean Footage” commercial. We’ve had a long obsession with beans and wanted to celebrate this milestone with a fun contest that rewards our fans.

  • You may create a video that is a minimum of 10 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds that features your original version of the song “Beans, Beans, the Musical Fruit.”

    Then, starting on March 25, 2024, bean-loving fans can look for a post from @bushsbeans and submit their video and caption to Instagram or TikTok using #themusicalfruitcontest. 

    The contest runs until April 18, 2024, so be sure to get your masterpiece completed and posted in time! Visit https://www.bushbeans.com/en_US/musical-fruit-rules-regulations for contest rules. You may only enter once.

  • Yes! Anyone passionate about Bush’s Beans, music or bean culture in general can enter the contest at no cost.

  • Any legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who is 18+ can enter!  Entrants may be an individual or an unsigned band (“band”) that consists of a minimum of two (2) members and a maximum of five (5) members. You don’t have to master an instrument or be a professional singer to join in on our contest – we want to hear from fans who love beans as much as we do.

  • All eligible Entries will be judged by a Sponsor-specified panel of qualified representatives based on the following criteria:  Adherence to Contest Theme (30%); Originality and Creativity (30%); Expressiveness and Emotion (20%); and Video and Sound Quality (20%).

  • Bush’s will select a Grand Prize winner who will receive a $10K cash prize, Bush’s Beans for life (awarded as a $4,800 check), and a trip to Nashville that includes premium tickets for a Grand Ole Opry show, a hosted backstage VIP experience and a tour at the Opry, a Ryman Auditorium tour, recording studio time and more. For all details, see the Official Rules. The four First Prize winners will score by receiving a check for $5,000 for their musical efforts.

  • You will receive a direct message on Instagram/TikTok from the official @BushsBeans account notifying you in May. Be sure to check your spam folders.
