Black Beans and Rice, a true staple of any kitchen. Once you get the basics down, then you can jazz it up however you like! For our recipe, we mix in tomatoes, onions and green peppers plus seasonings like thyme and garlic salt for extra flavor. Add a splash of hot sauce for an extra kick and garnish with lime wedges if you're feeling fancy.
In large skillet, heat olive oil.
Cook onion and green pepper until crisp tender.
Stir in tomatoes, beans, thyme and garlic salt; cook 3 minutes. Add vinegar, pepper sauce, and reserved juices continue to cook 5 minutes.
1 can of beans
Hot pepper sauce
Serve over rice. Garnish with lime wedge (optional).
