Bush’s® Sweet & Spicy Baked Beans with Chicken
This quick and easy casserole turns Bush’s® Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans into the whole meal when you add onions, jalapeños, and smoked chicken, finishing it off with tangy pineapple for that big Bush’s® Beans flavor your family loves.

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup onions, diced
- 2 jalapeños, diced
- 2 (28 oz) cans Bush’s® Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans
- 1 lb pulled smoked chicken
- 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
- 1 cup pineapple juice, canned or fresh
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 4 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 4 tsp sambal oelek
Cooking Instructions
- 1PREHEAT
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- 2SAUTE
Sauté onions and jalapeños in olive oil until onions are soft and translucent.
- 3COMBINE
Combine all ingredients in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- 4BAKE
Bake for 30 minutes.
- 5TIPS
Cut jalapeños into rings instead of dicing for more visual interest. Add 1-2 extra jalapeños for extra heat. Assemble recipe in a foil pan and cook on a grill to add a smoky flavor.
